René McCarthy

René joined WHN in November 2023 having previously commenced her training as a solicitor with Latimer Lee Solicitors in Bury supporting its commercial litigation and family law teams.

Based at WHN’s Bury office, René supports the family team and deals with new client enquiries and takes part in client meetings. She also assists senior associate Stephen Pinnington, who heads the firm’s new Salford office, drafting court applications and court forms, preparing statements and court bundles, and supporting Stephen at court attendance.

René has a first-class Bachelor of Laws degree attained from The University of Bolton and is completing her Legal Practice Course. She aims to achieve a Law and Business Masters, from The University of Law in Manchester by Summer 2024. René is a specialist in court advocacy with thorough sector knowledge in both civil and family litigation.
