Helen first joined the firm in 1990 as a trainee after studying Law with French at Leeds Polytechnic and completing the Law Society finals in 1990. She qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and is now a Senior Associate Solicitor at WHN.
Helen has specialised in probate, the administration of estates, wills, elderly client work trusts and taxation since qualification. She is particularly skilled in complex estate matters, having dealt with many thousands of estates since qualifying in 1992.
Part of WHN’s private client and asset planning team, Helen is a full professional member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and holds the SFE Older Client Care in Practice award. This ensures that she is able to offer expert advice to older clients in connection with all areas including advising on the funding of long-term care.
Helen is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) – the leading worldwide professional body of practitioners in the field of trusts, estates and related issues – obtaining a distinction in the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates in 2007.
When she’s not delivering great advice to clients, you’ll find Helen spending time with her husband and sons, as well as skiing and holidaying in Majorca.
