Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors (WHN) has made two senior promotions as part of its people growth programme.

WHN Solicitors has promoted Jennifer Prysiaznyj to associate director, while Katie Lofthouse has taken on the role of associate solicitor.

Jennifer, who is from Clayton-le-Moors, heads up WHN’s residential conveyancing team and has spearheaded a number of initiatives during her four years at the firm, including launching an Islamic finance service, as well as expanding the conveyancing team by ten per cent.

In her new role, Jennifer will be responsible for the performance and strategic development of the conveyancing service, continuing to strengthen and grow the team, while also expanding the use of new technology to further enhance client service for those buying and selling their homes.

Meanwhile, Katie, who is from Clitheroe and is based at the firm’s Clitheroe office, has taken a step up just two years after joining WHN as a solicitor. A specialist in litigation, Katie has been instrumental in growing the presence of the office, which first opened in 2019, while also handling major cases and developing a new contentious wills, trusts and probate service line for the firm.

WHN has grown staff numbers by seven over the past year, with the firm now employing 110 people across its eight office locations.

Michael Shroot, CEO at WHN Solicitors, said: “Well done to both Jennifer and Katie on the promotions – they’re thoroughly well-deserved.

“Jennifer’s well-known for her attention to detail and excellent client care, and despite taking over as head of the conveyancing team in a very turbulent time in the economy, has been able to expand the team across our eight offices and modernise the way we practise conveyancing. I am very excited for the future of the conveyancing team in Jennifer’s hands.

“Katie has been an invaluable member of the team since joining us three years ago. Her strength and depth of knowledge of the litigation process, as well as the emotional support she provides for clients has seen our new wills and probate dispute resolution service go from strength to strength.

WHN Solicitors employs 110 staff across Lancashire and Greater Manchester and has offices in Accrington, Bacup, Bury, Blackburn, Clitheroe, Haslingden, Great Harwood and Rawtenstall. It advises businesses, individuals and families on a full range of legal matters.

The firm has had a successful 12 months, with WHN’s real estate litigation, commercial litigation and corporate and commercial law teams securing a place in the 2023 edition of Legal 500. The firm also scooped the ‘Professional Services’ accolade at this year’s Red Rose Awards, while it was also recognised in the recent Chambers and Partners 2023 UK guide.
