The region’s brainiacs are to take on the sharpest business minds at WHN Solicitors’ fourth annual charity quiz.

In aid of The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity and Buddy Bag Foundation (BBF), the quiz will take place once again at the Stables Country Club at Bury’s Bolholt Hotel, BL8 1PU starting at 6.30pm on Thursday, March 21.

Last year’s event saw 116 members of Lancashire’s business community come together to raise £4,000 in support of local charities, and organisers are hoping this year’s event will generate even more funds for causes close to people’s hearts.

The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity is a local organisation that provides support for children and their families during treatment for brain tumours and post-surgery disabilities.

Buddy Bag Foundation (BBF) supplies buddy bags to children who find themselves in emergency accommodation after a traumatic incident. These bags help make a difference by ensuring a child has the essential items they need for their immediate wellbeing and comfort.

The entry fee for this year’s quiz is £120 per team, with a maximum of four people in each team. Table drinks and a pie and pea supper will also be provided.

Charity funds will be further bolstered by a raffle with fabulous prizes on the night, while the victorious team will receive a trophy.

David McCann, senior partner at WHN Solicitors, which has seven offices across Greater Manchester and Lancashire, said: “The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity and Buddy Bags Foundation both deliver essential support to children and their families across our region, relying on the generosity of local people. We do hope members of our big-hearted business community will turn out in force to support these very worthy causes.”
