Daniel Long, Director – Property Dispute Resolution

Daniel joined WHN in 2009, qualified as a solicitor in 2011, and became a partner in 2015. He leads the firm’s commercial division ensuring a cohesive approach is taken to managing the commercial legal needs of clients.

As Head of the Property Disputes Team, Daniel is highly regarded for his expertise in resolving disputes between landlords and tenants, including rent recovery, dilapidations, forfeiture, possession, and lease renewal/termination. He has loyal client base, from small businesses to national and international landlords. He is a national leader in uncontested lease renewal work as a result of his knowledge and expertise in this area of law.

Eleanor Longworth, Associate Director – Property Dispute Resolution

Eleanor joined WHN in 2012, qualified as a solicitor in 2014, became a Senior Associate in 2023 and an Associate Director in 2024.  Eleanor specialises in commercial property and long leasehold dispute resolution, acting for landlords, tenants, management companies, and investors.

Her expertise spans dilapidations, possessions, arrears recovery, lease renewals, and insolvency disputes. Eleanor also handles residential long leasehold matters, including ground rent and service charge recovery, enfranchisement, lease extensions, and right-to-manage applications.

Nationally recognised for her long leasehold dispute expertise, Eleanor also advises on cladding issues and breach of lease convenants, disrepair, right to manage, enfranchisement and freehold acquisition.

Nicola Phelps, Director – Commercial Property

Nicola Phelps leads WHN’s Commercial Property team. Nicola acts on large-scale developments, including office parks, retail malls, and industrial estates. Since joining WHN in 1999, she has built a loyal client base of property developers, large and small.

Nicola specialises in all types of property development – office, industrial, retail and residential – advising on everything from land acquisitions to site setup and onward sales. Nicola advises all types and sizes of businesses, from PLCs to sole traders, partnerships and unincorporated associations and clubs. With expertise in development agreements, public and private funding, joint venture agreements, site assembly, promotion agreements and overage agreements, Nicola also has a wealth of experience in general commercial property transactions, particularly business leases.

Jennifer Prysiaznyj, Director – Head of Conveyancing

Well-known for her meticulous attention to detail and excellent client care, Jennifer has an abundance of experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing. Having qualified as a solicitor in 2005, Jennifer went on to spend ten years as a Director and Head of Conveyancing for a local law firm where she developed a ten-strong team of conveyancing specialists.

Dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchases, remortgages, charges, right to buy, flats, new builds, shared ownership and help to buy, Jennifer also specialises in the niche area of Islamic finance. Having successfully dealt with over 1,000 Islamic finance cases since 2005, Jennifer has developed an international reputation for excellence in the field.
