WHN Solicitors has recruited Suzanne Crook to lead the growth of its Bury-based family law team.

Associate Solicitor Suzanne, joins the firm to head the family department in the town.

Suzanne worked at Joe Egan Solicitors in Bolton for 18 years in roles including head of the family department, partner and most recently director.

Suzanne, who became a member of the Law Society Children Panel in 2011, has a background in family law going back more than 20 years, and has particular expertise in childcare law.

This specialist and sensitive area of the law involves acting for parents, grandparents, carers or other family members where there is concern about the safety of a child.

Suzanne will also support her clients on issues including care proceedings and special guardianship, child arrangements, emergency protection orders, and injunctions to prevent harassment.

At WHN she will oversee her team as well as advising clients, and work to develop and expand the service as it meets strong demand from clients in the area and beyond.

She said: “WHN’s family team in Bury has a great talent for ensuring clients get the best possible service and advice throughout a case, while making sure that the advice given is plan and simple with all options discussed in a way that can be understood.

“I’m looking forward to building on the work done and support the team as it continues its growth.”

Michael Shroot, CEO of WHN Solicitors, added: “We are very proud of our track record of providing a great customer experience through working with specialist lawyers to support businesses and individuals across the region.

“There is high demand in the Bury area for our family law services, and we are demonstrating our commitment by appointing Suzanne, who brings to the table two decades of experience in the field.”

The team at WHN can also advise on whether legal aid is available for a case, and offer clients a variety of finance options where it is not.
