Michael Shroot

Michael is the firm’s chief executive officer and a solicitor specialising in commercial dispute resolution. Michael trained in a niche commercial law firm in Tower Bridge, London and joined Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors in 2003.

As chief executive officer he deals with strategic issues and leads WHN’s board of directors. He also continues to advise on all types of commercial disputes ranging from contract disputes to professional negligence matters, while he has specific expertise in employment law, enforcing restrictive covenants, and director, shareholder and partnership disputes.

He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and has experience representing clients in a variety of courts including the Employment Tribunal, County Court, High Court, Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.

Michael advises on complex and high-value disputes for all sizes of businesses from PLCs to sole traders, directors and other high-level employees, as well as advising the firm’s corporate and commercial team on employment-related advice for insolvent companies, and the sale and purchases of businesses.

Michael also writes blog articles and delivers seminars, masterclasses and in-house training sessions to teach developments in the fast-changing area of employment law.
