Andrew bows out at the top

portrait_andrew_taylorAfter more than a decade with the firm, Andrew Taylor has announced he is retiring from his role as the head of our property team.

Born in Bury and educated at Bury Grammar School, Andrew has enjoyed a long and distinguished career, specialising in commercial and residential property work with particular emphasis on large-scale residential developments.

In the early 1990s he was heavily involved in dealing with the complex property issues arising from the privatisation of British Rail, as one of the regional lawyers appointed to assist the government.

Andrew joined us in 2002 after Breedon Taylor – the specialist property law practice he set up in Bury merged with Woodcocks.

Andrew said “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with the firm.  I have no grand plans for my retirement but initially plan to enjoy the freedom of spending more time at my holiday home in Spain, pursuing my interest in history and archaeology, improving my golf swing (highly unlikely but I remain optimistic) and travelling the back roads of Britain and Western Europe.”

We wish him a long and very happy retirement
